A letter from our founder...

"For the past 15 years, my photography work has focused on transforming the fashion industry and using my lens to challenge beauty standards. From publications like Glamour & Elle, I’ve showcased diverse bodies and championed inclusivity in exciting ways. I’ve had the honor of collaborating with incredible brands, designers, models, and influencers who share my passion for diversity and empowerment. Now more than ever, I remain dedicated to that mission. In addition to my ongoing photography work, I’ve created a new space to uplift people on a personal level.

For some backstory…During the COVID-19 pandemic, I went through major life changes that severely impacted my mental health, leading to a crisis that affected both my personal and professional life. Simultaneously, the fickle facade of the body positive movement began to crack—with a cultural regression to a “thin is in” mentality, influencers promoting weight loss drugs, and retail brands backtracking on plus-size offerings—I felt completely disillusioned.

To prioritize my recovery, I decided to shift focus toward healing. In those quiet moments of self reflection, The Big Girl Co was born. What started as my personal journey soon grew into a love letter to all big-bodied people who have been made to feel less than. This has been my way to transform pain into power and isolation into connection.

The Big Girl Co is dedicated to inspiring you to embrace and celebrate who you are, inside and out. Our collection of motivational merch, like our journals, is designed to bring joy and encourage self love. It’s an invitation to heal negative body image and view big emotions as big blessings.

I poured my heart into this brand, hoping to create a community where big feelings and big bodies aren’t just accepted—they are celebrated!"
